Truly gutted to put this up for sale but I simply find the leg position far too cramped for me.

I bought it a couple of weeks ago with 900 miles on the clock from Adamsons - Weaverham.

It was taken by them in p/x.

    So:

I'm the second owner and with about 1,000 miles on the clock.

    Dart Screen and panniers fitted.

Just fitted Datatool Stealth last week.

I was trying to find a way of lowering the pegs or raise the seat yet remain comfortable but no success really.

    Two keys and the book

    Chrome rear grab rail

    No finance outstanding

    Just serviced

    Datatag

Looking for £8,950 or £8,650 without the Stealth Tracker

    Any questions - just ask

    Truly immaculate.

    Thank you.

I keep trying to live with it because it's just so lovely in every other respect.

Get the seat retrimmed, I've done mine and it's so much better now.
I can now for some reason go round bends a lot more easier.
I've had 3 inches added and it brilliant

Well my wife says I could do with an extra 3 inches

Did you need bar risers too to balance up the riding position?

Was it a Tony Archer seat?

I've got 1" bar risers, £36 from me, I'm soon going to add baak handlebars for the USA look and should be much better to ride.

    Well thanks everyone.

Will look into the TEC peg lowering kit and the higher seat again.

    Off the market for now...

I put 1 inch bar risers on as I found it a bit uncomfortable on the arms , the bike is spot on comfort wise now.

If you really like the bike then its worth spending a few quid to get it comfortable for you. I had to spend about £150 on the seat and bar risers but was worth it.

I ordered a seat cover for my old bike from a guy on ebay. link below. The cover was $35 and very well made. The plus for you is it came with plenty of extra material on the sides so you could add a inch or two of foam to bring your seat up. In your case I would even ask him to leave a little extra on all sides. Stapeling it on only took a few minutes, a staple gun, 1/4 inch staples and a hair dryer. Might be worth a shot.

I am, believe me, absolutely useless with DIY

I'd really mess it up so would prefer to buy stuff ready made.

Oh and 5 ft 10 inches tall...

I too am useless at DIY got my seat done for £120 fitted bar riser with my son which was very straight forward. Surprised you are cramped though. I would try the bar risers first

Old skiing injury to both knees years ago, which makes me prone to cramp.

Otherwise it probably wouldn't be an issue

I'm the same height but it's inside leg measurements that can be different, I'm a 30 and the seat with 3 inch height is perfect, even rides nicer.
Glad your keeping it, great machine, just needs a bit of tweaking. I got my seat done with these guys.

Decided to let her go after all.

Don't want to build up the mileage and risk spoiling the bike.

May go for a Speedmaster instead

I had an America for ten years I found it very uncomfortable on long rides alot of bum pain, kept it so long because I loved the look of it but wished I'd swapped for a bonnie earlier. I tried gel pad inserted in to the seat, airhawk pad and sheepskin but nothing worked for me, so i would make sure you have a good test ride first.
