Hello everyone, I hope someone can help. I have a 2007 Bonneville which died last week, wouldn't start so I put in a new battery, connections all tight. Still won't start, all fuses are good, starter relay clicks when the neg is unhooked, lights work, kickstand up, clutch in all the simple things check out. The only thing I get when I push the starter button is a buzzing sound, like an old time door buzzer, from what sounds like the right side under the battery. Any ideas? Thanks
Have you tried bump starting it ? I agree with biglad on the relay, but it would be good to know if it starts by other means. Starter motor may be stuck ?
Ok, are you sure that the buzzing is coming from the starter relay? Tip - plastic handled screwdriver, metal end on relay, plastic end to ear, unless you have a stethoscope, press starter switch, trace source of buzzing by moving driver to each component whilst attempting to crank. Once certain starter relay is buzzing further checks wil be required. Will cover those if required. Might be an idea to bump start as suggested just to ensure starter circuit at fault & not an additional issue.

I'm sure it needs a little love. Just ask with love. (Private joke, I don't mean that). I know as much about mechanics as a Blind Rabbit knows about quantum physics...
