Costing me a mint! As weather is so horrible decided to just clean my Steamer. Which led to removing shock for rebuild, removing rear wheel to check pads, glad I did.

Disc bolts where a bit rounded so hammered in a torx socket to shift them. Rear caliper needs a rebuild.

I need to source a rear disc and pads plus the disc securing bolts. I have a rear braided hose to go on. Main job is the shock rebuild as it dosen’t feel nice over 80 or on really bad roads.

Sprocket is a Supersprox one in good nick, chain is also fine.

    Does the caliper look saveable?

Ha yeah and the other day I was only thinking how good the rear brake is! Think it’s been dragging as the bike is hard to push about and rear disc has a definite lip on it.

You are spot on, really enjoyed it although tried to move the bike a bit cos it's in the way and nearly had me and it on the floor!

there's talk of a Morocco trip in Sept and all my mates will be on new stuff, I'm hoping the tiger will come into its own and all for about 2k.

I am exactly the same with people liking older bikes but also bikes have been very good for a long time now.
The fuel economy, performance and grin factor are all as good near enough. New bikes are defo not 15k better machines.

Once suspension and and brakes have been rebuilt or upgraded they are just as good. But I know I don’t need to tell you all that!!
