1969 BSA Starfire - given to me by my uncle because my parents didn't want me on a bike - sold when I broke my legs up in a climbing mishap. Hateful machine that leaked oil like a sieve, but it took a lot of punishment and taught me to drive. 1957 BSA Bantam D3 - Still have. Temperamental, and there is a reason that the direct electrics aren't a thing on modern bikes! F800ST - Still have. Not so frugal as stock since I fixed the overly lean factory fuelling by installing a power commander, but she's an easy ride mid range mid power more-sports-than-tourer and still does the job. My daughter is currently on a Sinnis Max 2 125 and will probably take over the F800 when she does her full licence. I'm still looking for the right bike to upgrade (or side-grade) to.
That was my stomping ground with the Starfire. Up from Llanigon through Gospel Pass to Llanthony Priory, then around back to Hay. I had to keep the bike at Ty Mawr farm because I wasn't meant to have it!
