The thing is to adjust the plates to just grip the tyre and no more. I've never had any problem getting my Speed Twin out of it. I still think it's one of the best made and most useful things I've ever bought for the garage.
Looking at Thruxtonmike's picture, what is the make of your stand please? I have been looking for a stand that allows the front wheel to get very close to the wall as I have limited s;pace in the garage and a few I have seen have long overhangs at the front beyond the front wheel.
Hi I notice you have it on a rear paddock stand as well? I usually have to go grab the wife to help me get my bikes on my paddock stand; does this make it possible to do on your own? Thanks
Hi there! Yes, but ONLY if your rear paddock stand has wheels on it. Most of them have. The front wheel gets "locked in" but if you try to put it on the rear stand WITHOUT wheels on it, it’ll pull it out from the front chock.
This was the main reason I bought the wheel grab. I never felt comfortable using the paddock stand on my own. It makes it a very simple job.
