Bloody hell mate you're not having much luck I bet after this you never ever run out of fuel again!!!!!
Apparently it's a free download for your laptop There's a link in another thread in here somewhere But you need a cable for it I'm definitely gonna get this
Mr D, you are wasting your time with Jez. Laptops don't work by steam or petrol so there's no point learning about 'em.......
Hi DD There's part of me that wishes I had got an older carburettored bike as I know how to play about with them but this is the future so I thought I would get with the program Been watching tutorials on YouTube for tune ECU and seems easy enough to follow Gonna have to get a cable and download it so I can mess with my Rams & Roms
It should be at least 12.6v so either the measuring is wrong or there is an electrical supply problem, usually caused by a low charge battery.
Agree with biglad mate Battery must be fully charged otherwise you'll get nowhere If you've 10.5v at the pump chances are you've only got that in the battery
I'm sure the battery was more that 12.5V charged... Either I did not take the voltage the right way, or there is a connection problem :s
Have you tried helping your battery with another charged battery, Making it sure you are getting enough power that way yhis will then rule out any battery probs.
A good few years ago I had a CB600f with adjustable seat. A few days after I had raised it I couldn't get the bugger to start. All I heard was a pop from the fuse box. I would replace the fuse and it just blew. I was a bit of a novice then and had to get a mobile mechanic out. £120 later for the callout and 20min of time (yeah I know, absolutely ripped off) it seems a wire had got caught in the adjusting bolt for the seat and was grounding it. Is it worth checking all the wires near bolts you have touched and check they are all still in proper condition and no copper exposed?
A wire connecting the relay was disconnected... Now it works perfectly!!! Many thanks!!! I still have the engine light on.. What does it mean?
Is the light on with the engine running? If so you have a fault The light should go out after the engine starts
As others have said - a fault has been recorded and IF it is now fixed, 3 full cold/hot cold cycles and the fault light will work normally again. So starting from cold, go for a decent ride to get the bike FULLY warmed through, then let it fully cool down. Do that twice more and the light will go out - IF the problem has been fixed.
If I was you I would plug tune ECU back in and use it to clear faults if you can mate My handbook says the bike could go into limp mode if the faults aren't dealt with
