@thebiglad : even if they could see you were connected to bluetooth handsfree, this would NOT prove that you did not use the cell in the classic way if someone accuses you, that you did.

So over here, you need an eyewitness to clear this mess.

We distinguish between the call (1. Phone in use at 09.15hrs 2. 01234 spoke to 67890 for 5 mins 3. Recorded conversation). 2 & 3 generally - and rightly- need a warrant and 3 for permission to intercept at all.
