I’m with Wey Valley Advanced Motorcyclists, although I haven’t been able to join any of their groups rides yet what with having been ill, running a business and having a young daughter! Hoping to join in a bit more next year!
So I passed my IAM test today and even managed to get a First which was unexpected!!! So next step is to resume/restart the blood bikers enrolment with an aim to be out riding before the years out!
Well done Matt, a first is an excellent achievement, maybe consider going for the masters at some point, good luck with the Blood Bikers and enjoy your riding.
I'm a bit late to this thread, @MattGaydon, but a big congratulations to you! Good for you for sticking with it through illness, work, and family.
So…we’re almost there!!! I’ve done the induction (again) and a familiarisation ride (in a car as it was -2) so in theory am now ready to book onto the rota! I messaged today to find out how and have sent the chap a message so will wait to hear! I’ve asked for someone to come with me for the first run just so I feel comfortable and Cripsey has kindly offered to if it works out! I’m hoping to be able to do my first shift a week Friday (17th). But very excited to finally be here! It feels like it has been a long process but def a positive one. My riding has definitely benefitted from the ad-qual and I’m actually quite keen on the idea of becoming an observer for my club but we’ll see about that in the new year! Thanks all for checking in with the thread and ride safe!
