I like bikes other people like bikes sometimes we like different bikes I don't care because we both like bikes
Having owned Yamaha, Honda, Ossa, BMW, Triumph I was about to say V twins weren’t my ‘thing’ but the CX500 I had calls me a liar..... H-D are probably the biggest ‘lifestyle’ brand out there and am sure they are well suited to US tarmac but I have never been minded to shop at Bandanas’r’Us. I often think we frail humans are mistaken to relate our perception of heat to metal. The perceived difference between a hot UK summer in the mid 80s and Arizona above 105 degrees also has much to do with humidity..... Besides the primary cooling in all 4 stroke engines is the oil - not air or water - and for all I know the rear cylinders have subtly bigger fins. Chacun a son gout as they say across the Channel on their VeloSoleX......

@Repooh Hi! Are you still thinking about a BMW?? You could check out this one. joking! Or....maybe not?
A bit more on the BMW "concept bike". This is from a blog called The Motorcycle Obsession in a story on the EICMA Motorcycle Show. The last bit in particular that I've quoted in italics made me laugh out loud. CAVEAT: This quote represents the blogger's opinion, not necessarily that of this forum member. I haven't seen one. I haven't ridden one. Therefore I can't yet make an informed decision. This is what you would get if a Suzuki designer was asked to copy a Harley Davidson Low Rider S but only allowed to view it in passing. "Look, there's one over there. Make it like that. But more plasticky. We love plastic."
You are a good man, Repooh. I figured a photo and another bit of a laugh along with your words might help do the same.
