Don't trust the weather men, the weather will be what it will be; who cares whether it rains or not! A wet Wessa in Ireland.
There's always 1 self righteous do goody git that feels he ain't biking unless he's cold wet and miserable!! May your nose turn blue and your winkle wrinkle like a prune!! Had to put that in incase someone thought I was serious!
Bellingham is a great wee place for this kind of gathering, you can get meals, beer, there's a pub, a coop, a great wee cafe for food. Even fuel if your desperate (Expensive and service is soooo slow, please fill up before you get there, cannot cope with 30 bikes on the Saturday morning !!!), but it is all there. All we need is stuff for the BBQ, as I doubt the quality of the co-oop butchery dept! Honestly Bellingham is just made for this type of gathering. That's why I thought of it when GMU2017 was floated as an idea. LINK to Streetview
Had a good laugh with them in the Cheviot, were all happy to see us, very welcoming. Honestly Bellingham is a cracking wee place. If you had to design a village in which to hold a meeting of 30 odd bikers, to feed and water them and make them welcome, you couldn't do a better job. However you want to do this, eat out and drink at a pub, drink bottles of ...insert favourite beverage..... at the bunk house and cook for yourself, or a mix, it really is all there. Full amenities for all. - except the aforementioned grumpy wee sod at the petrol station, which he has to operate the pump cos your incapable of doing something so complicated !!!! (Can you tell how much he pissed me off yet ???) We are stopping at a petrol stations 35 odd miles from Bellingham on both days, so make sure you have that in reserve when you arrive.
@Dozers Dad - Look what I just found in Bellingham !!!! (Nice wee cafe next door) Could always ask on the Friday - what he could do for us for the Saturday BBQ meal deal for 30 ?????
