I think you're wrong. Mainly because you attributed the word "think" to Vanguard. Not his strongest suit, I'd say. But, I could be wrong. Often am.
Agree wholeheartedly - and hope he is. But my 'sideways comment' wasn't meant to be personal. It's just that 'firing from the hip' in the way he did was neither called for nor warranted, even less so from a newbie (IMHO). The old maxim applies "If you haven't got anything nice to say - don't say anything!"
Numpty--my "new word of the day". Geez, I love this forum. It's SO educational! I went to The Google to see what it had to say about the word, numpty. I learned not only the meaning but also that it's Scotland's 2nd favorite word! (At least based on some poll from around 2007) Hmmm, I wonder what's #1.
I have tattoo's Sandi, nothing spectacular, and have been known to have the occasional "numpty" moment
Try "Glaikit een wee numpty" (cross-eyed little idiot) Or maybes, "Haud yer gleggie ya bawfaced wee bletherskite" (shut your mouth you roundfaced gossiping fool) "Hell slap it intae ye". (Sure, and it's your own fault.....) "Ahm fair puckled" (I'm out of breath) "Gie it laldy." (lay into it) "Min fit like?"
LOL, 525 and you'll fall in e sea! (I used to work with a gang of weegies, most of that above is theirs... Caithness speak is more like Doric)
Back on topic... Mrs BS got this done a few months back, it's nicely healed up now. Forgetmenots and lavender, in memory of our son. I have a couple of designs I would like, the Seaforth regiment crest and my Dad's serial number, for Dad.. And a design (which I will get a photo of if you're interested) for our son. (it's not a recent loss, but I'm/we are feeling it more and more as we get older.) Currently I can't afford either, but the plan is there.
I'd really like to see a pic of your design Big Sandy, like Mrs BS's too, I can't imagine the pain of losing a child.
Thanks for the reassurance, DD! I thought maybe someone slipped something into my wine tonight before I read (tried to read) this.
