I got mine from M&P and they were £255, but just looked and they are £270 now. I couldn't find any cheaper, but that was February
That's where I got my last set of Chromes from. Think there were a few places a couple of quid cheaper elsewhere, but they were based on continental Europe (tax havens like Andorra) and I presumed there would be less risk of delivery and other problems buying from UK. For what its worth, I had no problems with TyreTec Trading and plan to use them again. (Quite soon I think, my rears only seem to last about 6,000 miles, and will be soon on my fourth set in not too long!)
Interesting chat with the man from Tyre Tec. There are no Avon Cobra Chrome tyres available at the moment. The factory shut down during the Covid lockdown and Tyre Tec sold all their stock and the surplus from the manufacturer. The good news is the factory is now back in production and when the new ones are available they will have literally just been made so no shelf life at all. Just have to wait now, hopefully they will be available before my service on 27th.
I guess I was lucky with the size for my bike. Got a rear 150/80R16 delivered last week from TyreTec.
Ouch, more than 50% more than in the UK by my calculation. Guess being UK made they've got transport costs and import tarriffs.
