Well I have been in the UK..had their beer, went to the Whiskey Heritage Center in Edinburgh, aka "Malt Disney", and learned my way around good single Malt. Good beer is GOOD beer no matter what country it comes from..Now I wouldn't say the same thing about what some consider good food..I ran out of words for bland when I was over on the east side of the pond. And I thought eating rotten salmon in Norway was different but damn...LOL..

I am always willing to be educated on good whiskEy. I have been to Ireland as well...and I will also admit that all I really know about Irish Whiskey is Jameson, which isn’t half bad. If you would kindly make a good referral I will gladly give you my unrefined opinion..

I didn't realize we were talking about truths here. LOL. I thought we were just feeding each other be line of BS we could..I will say that I think Ron and Dozers Dad are on even ground. hahahaha

If you happen to find some Boundary Bay Brewing beer I hope it is the Cedar Dust IPA. Hoppy but not overly bitter..and their ESB is good stuff too. I agree with your opinion of Dud, Swiller, Coarse and Brushless beers. A good whiskey barrel aged porter is a good beer in my humble opinion.

Enjoy the rest...hope the winter weather isn't hammering you to much yet..

I usually drink my whiskey neat, but that is good American Whiskey..some Makers Mark or Buffalo Trace, sipping whiskey. Maybe one small ice cube, but I will sample the Bushmills per your suggestions. I have some whiskey rocks in the freezer but they don’t melt..lol.

    Thank you for your suggestion

Well at the risk of upsetting our American chums o_O, here is a story I was told.

Well Noah built the ark as we know, all the animals 2 by 2 etc, now with all of these animals comes a lot of poo!
Noah hadn't really thought this through and there was no provision for a toilet, so he had the animals do their business at the back of the boat (this is how that deck became known as the poop deck ).
Over time the Poo grew into a massive pile, the Ark's Poop deck sank lower and lower into the water, the bow rose up & Noah thought the Ark may sink, then at last, the big pile of Poo slid off the Poop deck and into the Ocean ... and do you know it took Christopher Columbus until 1492 to discover it! :grinning::joy::laughing:

Right that's all the Americans upset, I'm off!

Aww! Did you miss me
It was just a bit of Anglo-American banter to keep you entertained and distract us from the self destruct Brexit fiasco!

My Mum would have it in a hot totty with a clove. And she loved it. My Dad just had it by the bottle.

Not sure what other Americans were doing 420 years ago but I believe my Irish ancestors were hacking a new life out of the wilds of Virginia. And my viking ancestors were deciding to stay in the UK and have their way with the local wenches or to head back to Norway and live in peace.:p
