Hi leegrimo, I have owned 5 Hinkley Triumphs from 1999 the only trouble I ever had was poor powder coating on the passenger footrest hangers which, Triumph replaced under warrenty. I had a sprint rs, two 955 Daytonas, a 955 speed triple, a 2005 1050 speed triple and currently a 2012 speed triple. Most were black the fastest. I have no problem recommending Triumphs just make sure you get the right model for your needs, suggest you get to a dealer and test ride a few.

Hi Leegrimo glad to hear that you are considering a triumph. I've had three triumphs, 1050 ST, Trophy SE and latest is a Thunderbird. Yes I've had some niggles but nothing major go wrong with any of mine. I've also owned Aprilia, Suziki and Kawasaki and all have had similar levels of problems, so Triumph is no worse than any of the bikes I've had.

Like has been said previously you have to go with your heart when buying your bike, as this is what will be right for you.

Leegrimo I have owned Honda's and have found Jap bikes very reliable indeed and unfortunately British bikes have suffered because of this, when I bought my Triumph it was my first British branded bike like you I had my droughts after doing my own research I decided to go for it I have found it to be as reliable as my pre owned Honda's and it handles better to, if you look after your bike it should give you only wear and tear things to attend to and hopefully you will enjoy its ownership you do need to buy low mileage with full service history and a dealer warranty, you don't want to buying a bike that is problematic, this forum has a section of bikes for sale have a browse.
