Another little job today, chain oiler install. The only way to achieve adequate chain lube all the time (cue smug grins from those with shaft drive), wouldn't be without one. Commercially available oilers are quite pricey for what they are IMO. Cost Me just over £9 for the reservoir (model aircraft fuel tank), flow control (aquarium) tap and solenoid valve. The other bits, switch, tubing, wire and connectors etc I had lying around. For a relatively small bike there isn't an awful lot of space under a SS seat. Junked the pointless and useless (to me) USB connector and the oil tank Just fits snuggly in the space. This is similar to the setup I've had on the Z (plus a motion sensor) from new and works a treat. You don't get 30k all weather miles from a chain on a ZZR1400 if the lube isn't adequate.
