I have recently sold my last T150 restoration, so was trying to decide whether or not to sell a 73T140V as is or restore. (this was the day after i sold my T150) so i opened my Ebay shortcut and spotted a 74 T150 that had been 90% completed it just needed painting and wiring up. well i looked at the spec on it and bought it there and then spec is below :-
    Engine

    All new bearings and seals

Rebuilt head - unleaded seats, new valves, guides and springs SRM

850 conversion from LP Williams (Nova)

Oil feed and pump opened out 3D Motorcycles (Richard Darby)

LP Williams anti wetsump valve (standard one also fitted .... you choose)

Clutch balance lightened setup 3D Motorcycles

Bottom end balanced and assembled SRM

    New Premier carbs

Clive Scarfe stainless air cleaner and fixings

Exhaust large bore with short pea shooters and a 3 into 1

    Oil thermostat

    LP Williams sump plate

    Gearbox

    5 speed

    New bearings and seals

    Wheels

    Front disc

New alloy flanged rim, SS spokes tyre and tube

    Twin lightweight disks

    New pad and bearings

    New Gremica callipers

    Magura master cylinder

    Rear conical

New alloy flanged rim, SS spokes tyre and tube

    New bearings and shoes

    Forks

New left and right fork sliders

    New stanchion tubes

    Damper mod 3D Motorcycles

    Tapered roller headstock bearings

    Frame

Standard frame, swinging arm, all original lugs and brackets intact

    Freshly powder coated gloss black

Seat, cut down standard pan, P and P Seating cover

    Alloy mudguards

    Small export tank

    Electrics

    Pazon ignition

    Pazon reg/rect

    Electronic speedo, Daytona

    New Magura switch gear

    New Wiring Harness

    New battery

    THINGS to DO

Complete electrics, parts are supplied (see above) but not connected

Paint tank and side panels and polish mudguards

    Exhaust ? ?

    Supplied with two systems

3 into 2 large bore system with 2 short silencers

    3 into 1 with silencer

Both are used and require some fettling, brackets etc

Timing and gearbox covers painted crackle black (easily removed with paint stripes)

I was going with the twin exhaust ceramic coated black, l liked the painted covers to match

Prepare engine for running, fluids etc.

Plus whatever you need to do to get a rebuilt bike running, ie. double check everything

I thinks all the parts required are there, maybe the odd small part required

As you can see it looked impressive
incidentally i sold the T140 within 5 mins of advertising on FB

I decided to take the primary cover off as i wanted to get it powder coated. At this point i noticed the crank sprocket nut had not been tabbed. So alarm bells started ringing. To cut a lon story short i ended up stripping the motor completely along the way i found the gearbox sprocket nut was finger tight but tabbed well lol, there was no O ring between tbe crankcase halves and when i got the barrel off i found some pipe lagging in the crankcase whjch must have been used to protect the rods .
Moral of the story do not trust what you read when buying rebuilt bikes .
I will post some pics of the build. Fitting rods to crank today and hopefully get tge barrel back on

Great looking bike, shame about the previous work but at least you will be happy with it when done :)

Sounds like a pretty heathy motor ...once you have gone through it sounds like it's been assembled in a hurry but with that sort of money spent you would expect a competent mechanic to have put it together ...could have had an off day I guess.

    Looking really good.
Always worth having a peep inside the crankcases. As collectors the world over say "Never believe the story, always do your homework and let the item speak for itself."
Looks a really nice bike, and I'm sure it will be once you've finished, no doubt. :)

Head is due back from porting this week, build will be nearly done then. The electric start works a treat.
Just need to tidy up the wiring once oil lines are fitted
