I’m just gathering the bits to do a airbox removal on my 2006 Scrambler once the weather warms up a bit. I’m getting the bits slow time and recently got two K&N RC 8090 pods filters (new) from flea-bay. On opening the noticed they both have a hole in the bottom plate. Looks to be part of the design. Few questions:
Any one fitted these type? Was planning on just blanking them off with a few nuts, bolts and washer but thinking about it could you run the crank case breather into one of the holes? Any idea what the holes are actually for?

@Norfolk Scram Beats me that one. I have a battery box somewhere in my garage which replaced the air box on my 09 Bonneville if it fits you are welcome to it for postage.
