I hope I am posting in the right place. On a couple of occasions my street cup has made a sound almost like a piston slap when blipping the throttle when slowing down for a roundabout. Friends have advised that I use a higher octane fuel and also that the ecu will adapt to my style of riding (whatever that means)! I’m not overly concerned as the bike engine is a dream but I am curious as to why the bike does this, hopefully all is well. Thank you in advance for any advice given.
Like all the new Bonnys, your bike has a 270° crankshaft and as a result can sometimes make a slightly odd noise as you blip throttle with the clutch in.
