As recommended by someone on here at some point in time, but can't be arsed to find it, so thanks @...................., it is a bloody good buy. Geekam, £34.90 on Amazon, 32Gb card at £5.05, so under £40 for a cracin wee bit of kit.
That's it. Picture quality is even watchable on my 49" telly, and the sound is great, have to turn volume right down when playing it on the telly. Mini HDMI socket on the camera, plays straight onto the screen.
The reviews are saying about 1.5 hrs on a battery, which is plenty, plus you get 2 batteries with it. Get 2 'helmet' sticker bases, a wee tripod and a handlebar clamp, plus a remote control! Which actually works! The wi-fi doesn't seem the best, tried to connect to the app on my phone but not behaving itself. Not that that's a deal breaker for me, can't see me needing that. When filming it will be on the KTM or the Mini, so won't be playing with my phone. Will try again, once I've learned how to do everything.
I had a cheap bullet camera a few years ago, the picture was so wibbly~wobbly it made you sick trying to watch it. They have come on so far. Picture quality was 1080 on that clip, can go up to 4k, will also have to give it a go. I'm not a great one for making bike video's but I will chuck this on the Tuono for fun, and definitely going to try on the KTM. If I'm sober enough tomorrow (Mates coming around with a brick), I'll take it out on the KTM, for a try.
As the title suggests, all your action camera chat, banter, advice, editing, equipment and what you have filmed, if nowhwere better to put it.
Tried the camera attached to the bars of my KTM last week, picture too shoogly to watch, so tried again, this time on my helmet. Once bored of fire road, Fast Forward to 2:30 for the good bit This is a sweep of the beach in 1080p This is a seep in 4K. 4K is only 10fps, so does look a bit 'juddery', think I'll stick to the 1080p.
Looks decent quality in 1080p MrO, think I will get one for the race bike, not allowed helmet mounts so will need to mount somewhere other than handle bars to get a watchable footage then I guess?
Wow! @ 2:30 as you crested the hill and saw the loch was amazing - then for a ride on the beach - how romantic! Seems like a great camera for the money!
Do you have an ‘understanding’ with the Forestry Commission? They are not fond of off roaders here albeit there are pretty few. Loch Grannoch?
in 3 years, met 1 fella, he was cool about it when told we were all legal. Not enough of us doing it, to be a problem. I only go up at weekends, so chance s of meeting someone in those huge forests has got to be tiny. Yes, Grannoch. Beautiful spot, Favourite place on earth.
Me too. Got a bundle deal on Amazon with a package of accessories. Haven't even unpacked it yet but guess I should to make sure it all works. Haven't got a memory card, either, yet, so got to sort one of those. 7Dayshop?
