I have long since decided that my Trident T160 was running a little too rich at low throttle openings and having done all the other adjustments and jetting i finally decided to bite the bullet and pull the carbs apart and go through them again, I was pretty sure that the root cause was down to the throttle slide cutaways so on dismantling i found they where already 4 so rather than just buy some 4.5s or even 5s i thought i might as well try modding the 4 that where in there so knowing what the increments where for the next size up i decided to file them and after carefully measuring i got them all within a a few thou of each other, so after rebuilding and setting up i tried the bike and found that the pickup and low speed throttle control was much better ...still not perfect but considerably better...took most of the day but worth it.:)
