900 Thunderbird Rear Shock Plus Rev Counter

Hi all,

I read somewhere that the 900 Thunderbird could be fitted with a rear shock off a Kawasaki.
Does anybody know about this??. It may be a cheaper option.

Also does anyone know how to re magnetise the rev counter ??. Mine has its own mind, sometimes it works and sometimes it won't.
