    Hello,
I have a 68 500 and the only way I can get the taillight to turn of is to remove the fuse. Brake light works good, just the taillight stays on. Also, my horn beeps intermittently, so I disconnected it and the bike won't start. Hook the horn up and it fires right up and runs great. I have installed a new ignition switch, but the taillight stayed on with the old and the new switch. I do have the original dip switch, but not sure if that's the issue. The dip switch is missing the bezel to hold it in, maybe it's grounding out.

    Thanks in advance

ask this in the classic section. i dont think people have spotted it. they will give you specific pkaces to look.

if that bulb is lit, then you are getting juice from somewhere, likely the light switch or a crossed wire somewhere.

get an elexyrical diagram and puzzle over it a bit.

classic british spares has them on their website.

thehorn issue demonstrates that you have electricity going through tbe wrong wires in at least one place
