I am working on a 67 Daytona Its in pretty good shape but need some advice. Finally got spark and it has an electronic ignition MICRO MKIV . Two 6 volt coils wired in series and its on a 12 volt battery system. Lights horn and signals work.. One of the coils are bad. Do I replace it with another 6 volt coil ? Do they need to be bought in pairs? or do I buy two 12 volt coils ? Need advice here!

Welcome to the family. No stay with your 6volt coils and just replace the faulty one. Unless you want to go for something like the Boyer Bransden 12 volt micro system. But quite honestly I would keep what you have. Do hit the upload a file button bottom right corner and show the inmates your steed.
    Regards
    Joe.

Thank you! Does it make a difference that some 6 volt coils have different primary and secondary resistance? I cant find any label on these coils to buy the exact same one
