i took my 15 plate thruxton 900 in for it's 6000 mile service & the MOT,all's good it passed with no advisories as i expected, the loan bike was better than i expected, it was a thruxton RS 1200, i couldn't believe how well
it handled & the power was something else, i absolutely loved the ride.maybe one day, who know's.

Test ride an R then shop for secondhand one if you like it? You could change for £2k or so. £6k+ saving before you factor in depreceation on the RS.

My thoughts exactly, but even though I know the 1200 is a better bike, my 900 puts a smile on my face every time I ride it.

I love my 900 motor and didn’t get on with the 1200 when I test rode a Bonnie ... for the speeds and performance I want the 900 is perfectly fine and with the lighter weight & better fuel economy I have a smile on my face every time I ride it too ... if a bike keeps you smiling it’s doing something right to connect with your inner self
