Been kind of a cold winter. Had to go check on my mountain property Friday. Too cold, slippery and icy up there, so I got out my 4 wheel toy. Lots of fun on mountain roads. 3 liter V-6 and a 5 speed. Chassis has a lot of race goodies. Old, inexpensive, but lots of fun. ...J.D.

The Mitsubishi shown has anti-lock, but a 5-speed with no traction control. I would not mind if it did not have anti-lock. Like my motorcycles the same way. ...J.D.

My LandCruiser turned 25 in January. No electronics, no "driver aids", no emmisions garbage. I look under the bonnet of a new car these days and it scares me, a ticking time bomb of electrical misery. No thankyou.

You have to find your comfort level when dealing with any technology. That includes vehicles. The thing I am most adamant about is I am not going to give the auto manufactures any more of my money. I found you can live a lot higher standard of living by not buying a car every few years. My bikes are the same. I buy them used. I have just as much fun riding them as a new one. I can even afford to modify them without payments and high insurance costs. There are many more things I can spend my money on besides new vehicles. My car above, I have owned 18yrs. ...J.D.
