A thread of interest on recalls https://www.thetriumphforum.com/thr...re-recalls-for-your-bike-etc.7979/#post-84424
I have a 2016 and never had anything from Triumph. Makes me wonder if the dealer registered me I will have a look at Vin and post in next couple of days. Appreciate it. Thank you
Anyone got any photos or official diagram showing whereabouts the wire at risk is and the bracket it's supposed to short against, I've looked all around the area behind the engine under the riders seat area and can't really see anything that looks like it could be a problem, have to say it's not very tidy under there so it's likely i've missed it ??
Btw, the Birmingham dealership is closing due to problems renewing the lease on their premises. Triumph are looking to set up two new franchises either side of the city, or so I heard.
In the USA, I got notified by mail directly from Triumph and the Dealer also called me mid December. I had it done right away even though is winter, but being in Texas is not too bad to ride. Not my cup of tea, but doable.
Hi, I'm new to the forum as I've just put a deposit on a 2017 zero milage speed triple r. Do you think the dealer will have done these recalls prior to selling it. It was going to be a demo but I purchased it before anyone had ridden it hence I got it for 10k. Should I ring and ask the dealer or is that being silly as like of course they'd have done them? So excited!
Should have been done when it was PDI'd. There should be a note in the service log book and the dealer should have recorded it in TOL (Triumph on Line). No harm in asking. I would.
Thanks good to know, don't you love a forum. Is there an annual meet with this forum? I have a cbr1100xx also and they meet up at the ponderosa North Wales.
Welcome Lee I'm sure you're going to enjoy your bike and this forum (provided you have a sense of humor) No doubt your dealer has done the recall but it's important that you get to know each other so always ask if there's anything you're unsure of. They are a service provider in a luxury market (IMO) so make sure you get your moneys worth.
