So, my 2012 white speed triple has three very small chips in the tank.. No problem me thinks, call dealer to order touch up kit... Should have it sorted in a day or two.... WRONG!! Triumph no longer have that colour touch up kit available!! WTF?? This was at the back end of 2012 only six months after I had bought the new bike!! I believe this is due to triumph changing their paint supplier... Any ideas?? Don't really want the expense of a chip away firm and I feel I have to pay for Triumphs decision to change paint supplier...
That's not cool especially on such a new bike. Have you heard of venture shield? It's amazing stuff you'll never get a stone chip again
It was developed for the military on helicopters in the desert, it's like a tough rubber film which you stick over the bike which shields it against stone chips. Your able to wash/polish etc and it's almost invisible. I always have it on my bikes without fail. bike-paint-protection motorcycles and bike paint protect
