Hello all, I was riding in the Appalachian Mts. yesterday on my '07 America and my rear brake just went away. I was going down the mountain and had been using my brakes quite a bit. The brake pedal just went all the way down and I had nothing. After a short while they came back, like they cooled off. I have decent pads and plenty of fluid. Anyone ever have this and how can I make it not happen again. It pretty much makes it pucker right up. lol Thanks for any help and Keep the Shiney side up.

Sounds like brake fade if you'd been using it a lot beforehand, try using engine braking a bit more and lay off the brakes a bit and hopefully it won't be quite as puckering ;)

Change your brake fluid - if it boiled you may get moisture build. Had it once on a Range Rover - scared me when I went for brakes and the pedal hit the floor
( couldn't handbrake as transfer brake)
