The styling of your bike looks really cool!

 

I'm on my 2nd SS after losing the 1st one to a thieving scumbag and find it a great ride, albeit with a few mods.
SS's have quite quick steering geometry but wouldn't say it needs a damper. I fitted progressive fork springs which were a big improvement. I'm almost twice your weight so have the shocks wound up to max. I agree the LCD display is quite small but I don't use the rev counter anyway. Personally I would have preferred traditional twin clocks but the engine isn't a rev monster and is tuned for low-midrange torque which is where it spends most of it's life. I'm not aware of anyone who makes an auxiliary tank for it. Since the media led fuel "shortage" a while back I now carry a 1.5L Fuel Friend just in case.
There's a mod to remove some of the "slack" in the RBW throttle which does eliminate some of the snatchiness in the throttle action. A Monza fuel cap really sets off the retro look of these bikes.
I have no use for a USB connection on a bike so the socket was the first thing I removed. Other items I removed are the passenger foot pegs and the useless f*nny pad masquerading as a pillion seat.
All in all a great bike though!

The suspension on these bikes is built down to a price and therefore not particularly good, although some people don't seem to notice. Maybe it depends on what you've ridden before or on how you ride but there is definitely a lot of room for improvement in terms of comfort and handling, especially on our crumbling road network.
If you search around this forum you will find a mountain of advice and suggestions as to how the suspension can be improved. Personally I would fit progressive springs, as mentioned by Pegscraper, and bin the shocks (or stick 'em on ebay..there might be someone daft enough to buy them) for something like Hagon. But of course it's your decision and your money.

Incidentally Pegscraper, is the word 'f*nny' now consigned to the dictionary of words that we can't use in case it upsets somebody? Good thing Mrs Craddock's dead then..what were her parents thinking !!!
