1993 Daytona 900

Hi all,

Just testing the waters here…

My main day to day bike is a 2017 Thruxton but due to ongoing issues with my back I’m going to be changing her for something more upright.

So depending on what they offer me in p/x I’ll probably need to make up a bit of difference…which unfortunately I don’t have a lot of!!

So rather than chopping the Daytona in too I thought I’d see if she was of any interest to anyone on here?!

I LOVE this bike! If I can keep her I will…she’s old, heavy and uncomfortable but aren’t we all!

She’s a 1993 with approx 20,000 miles on her. Stays connected to an optimate and had her sprag clutch done by a previous owner. Starts and runs fine and is so much fun!

If anyone fancies her, please pm me and we can have a chat. I know what I paid for her and I don’t want to loose money but also happy to have about price.

Happy for people to ignore if they can’t take the time to ask! Hoping to keep her if the bar conversion works out so isn’t desperate.

 

Hi all,

The bar conversion on the Thruxton is now done and feels amazing, totally transformed the bike and made it comfortable for my back.

But…unfortunately it has put the Daytona into perspective. I just can’t imagine me using her enough to warrant keeping her. The riding position is just too extreme for my back.

I’ll be loookijg to get an old(ish) Speedy or something but think the Daytona has to go.

I’m away at the moment on the Thruxton in the Peaks but will advertise her once home for £2500 I think.
