    Hi all
In the process of getting above bike back on the road
Before it went on display a few years ago I believe that they over tightened the oil pressure switch and cracked the timing cover
I’m sending cover off for repair/ welding to a guy who only deals with old triumphs in Coventry
I’m a complete novice to the triumph world and wondered if there’s anyone around the reading area who could come over and help/show me how to re do timing and points once I get cover back,
Happy to pay/ supply tea, beer for a little help
I have a haynes manual and a owners handbook but want a experienced triumph person if possible to show me
Or recommend a good triumph man nr reading
    Thanks

@graham kemp What a cracking bike. In the past i always put my Bonnies on top dead centre then marked all the points with a scribe. Then put it back the way i took it out. But there are a few very knowledgeable chaps on here if you get stuck. Myself i have help from them a couple of times at least. Good luck with the bike. I also think the covers are still available.

Lovely bike. I have a '72 but not as nice as that. I have an all black tank but your two-tone is so much classier. I also note the chromed(?) rear brake pedal and rod.
Re: timing. I have electronic ignition but I did treat myself to a TDC tool that screws into the crankcase behind the push rod tube. Makes doing tappets and timing a lot easier. Good luck and keep us posted.
