Mechanic that did my 12,000 service doesn’t include greasing front and rear bearing in the price, so job to get done myself. Abba stand footrest bobbins were too small for threads on the Speed, so had to flip footrests and lower on to axel stands with my rear paddock stand. Found the link needle rollers were dried out and clogged up, so bush was spinning on the stuck rollers. My bike has not been used in rain last 6,000 miles of my ownership, and didn’t look like it had seen any when I got it at 6 years old. Think about 9,000 miles it needs looking at. Swing arm tools was from GB Motorcycle Products on ebay. Grease or wax used had stuck all the needle rollers together, so they weren’t turning when bush turned. Foot rests turned 180deg to use axel stand, lowered into them with rear paddock stand. Handy to get the rear of engine clean b4 it goes to a new owner. Hub wasn’t too bad, definitely benefited from fresh Copperslip though. Correct tool from GB Motorcycle Products to pre tension swing arm pivot bearings b4 torquing up swing arm bolt.
