Just tell us what they quoted for the exhaust and number of hours labour along with the hourly rate. Most of the quote is likely to be labour
615.59. And 1.5 hours at 60 an hour for pipes changing all the liquids 1.5 hours at 60 an hour and 196.09 for c & s plus hourly
Thank you. exactly. To be honest with you the price was 3.5k which I honestly thought was fair for a garage sale
Ok trying to figure out what liquids, Chain and sprockets no liquid loss Brake disc again no liquid loss Exhaust no liquid loss The exhaust will be held on by 6 nuts at the engine, one or two in the footrest area, shouldn’t need any liquid sealant apart from maybe a bit of copper slip to hold the gasket in place whilst it’s tightened in place. Rear disc is easy to get to on a sssa and shouldn't need anything stripping down to get access. Guys a conman if you ask me.
Great result in the end Kevin, that is a woefully steep quote for a bike 3 months into it’s new MOT, particularly as the disc would/should have been a fail if it is that bad. I would be tempted to go back to the seller, even though it is out of warranty. You will be far better off with the knowledge and help from the guys on here, it’s what makes it such a great forum. Good luck and hope you get it sorted real soon.
Thanks Gary, yeah once I've had some more help I'll be contacting the company. Signing up to this site has been a very big help. Lots of very smart peeps
