It's more likely the speed sensors on the wheels not talking to each other. Make sure they are fitted properly and check the wiring.

If no one here can help, there is someone on the other triumph site who rebuilds old Triumphs and documents his builds....
Still reads that something is wrong with the vacuum tubes. I would recheck and make sure they are routed/connected correctly.
