I bought another multimeter so I could set the ohms manually and unfortunately the stator looks to be knackered too, the ohms are supposed to be between 0.4 to 0.6 and I am inly getting 0.3 (pictured below) and sometimes flickers to 0.4 so looks like I'm gonna have to replace both, I'm looking at the ultimate rectifier and a stator from a reputable company like Electrex World but stators all seem pretty much the same, thankyou again for all your help, I just wanted to give you an update and I'll let you know when they have been fitted if it works:yum

Hey guys sorry for the delay had to find and get parts shipped in and fit them but I am very very pleased to say she is now back on the road, I ended up replacing the regulator/rectifier with a series mosfit one and replaced the stator with an Electrex one and all voltages are now perfect and just been out for a (very anxious) couple of hours to test and thankfully not breakdowns and is now working perfectly, I just wanna say a massive thankyou to all of you who have patiently helped me to diagnose and fix it, I literally couldn't have done it without you
