I decided to have a change of exhaust on my 2020 STRS, I removed the original factory exhaust and fitted a Yoshimura when I bought the bike new in 2020. I just fancied another change, and having looked at various aftermarket systems and more importantly the build quality, after weighing everything up I elected to buy a Scorpion, the build quality and finish is excellent, in my opinion it is built better than the Yoshimura, it weighs a little more, however that said it has an S shaped link pipe that really sets it off, the material is a thicker gauge, the removable baffle allen bolt is a lot easier to to access that the Yoshimura, it was also £300 cheaper, all in all I am more than happy with the new system, and it sounds good, though I have yet to test it out on the road.

    Hi all,

my 2023 765 r needs a new exhaust, to start with being a fully welded system, will the headers from a 2017-19 RS with a cat fit my bike so then I can fit an aftermarket end can etc. Thanks in advance..

I definitely prefer the aesthetics of the new Scorpion, @Iceman. I've always fancied those exterior spring thingies. That's a technical term. ;):joy::joy::joy: What would those be called? Hope you're as happy with the new system on the road as you are with all the improvements you described.

I had the Yoshi on mine, but that does look good.

Interesting what 2 Wheel DynoWorks said about this particular system (not these), I guess you gotta be careful selecting an exhaust system for these bikes.

    Retention springs.

Allows flexibility resulting in less stress, which with heat cycling adding to the mix leading to expansion and contraction, reduces the chance of cracking.

Hi, I’ve watched several of these videos and it really does open your eyes (ears). First thing comes to mind, manufacturers saying simple plug in & play !! Is this the reason they don’t want you to know about the performance or lack of it?? Extra cost to be dyno tested etc for you the buyer. I was all set for a racefit system then I saw the video, I’ve messaged racefit, asking a couple of questions to see what they say…

I just presumed manufacturers of these aftermarket pipes done there own R&D but seams to be the opposite, (make a noise and forget about it) seams the route most go down.

That's a pretty damning report. I've used Delkevic systems on other bikes and they've been good IMO, but I don't have an aftermarket exhaust on my current STRS. I had an Arrow can on my '17 plate STRS. Apart from being a bit lighter than the stock unit, it didn't make much difference. I was under the impression that its difficult to make changes within the ECU on the later 2023 and newer bikes. I've just left mine bone stock. I looked at the Racefit options, they sound good but are pricey.
