68 'Triumph owners' miles with my cousin today (Speed 400 and Street Triple) but it was more about where to stop for coffee.... The Woodhouse Kippen!

Fitted a pair of auxiliary lamps to the Striple. Also fitted a power supply that is located on the handlebars providing both USB A and a USB C outlets for my phone and my Insta360 X4.

Two days ago I added the Beeline Moto II to my T120 handlebar. The first ride with is still waiting to happen, I'll give a short review if you guys want to.
It is the gun metal version of the Moto II and I think it looks quite pleasant on the bike.

One of our riding group has one of these. His only complaint is that it is sometimes a tad late in giving directions. I use Waze on my phone which talks to my Cardo comms unit.

Got sick of the stock mufflers on the 1200 Bonnie, mainly the way they hang out, catch on things, backing it out of garage, etc .so removed them ..... 17.6 k ? It actually has a nice note on straight pipes, and not overly loud, until I finish off the short reverse cones that my mate banged up for me.
A set of baffles from 'Temu'.. haha, mounts, and will be done .... but now getting ideas of attempting to lighten it more !:D...o_Oo_Oo_O

Last minute B&B booking in Tarbert, so heading off soon, a quick loop of Kintyre tomorrow and home again! A nice little tour for the 400!

    Good day!
I never had this issue but only rode one tour yet. I must admit I like this gadget.
I'd also have the possibility to use any navigation app on my phone with my com. But the MotoII just does the job in a decent way. You can enter waypoints to actually ride a tour and it even worked to bypass a next waypoint with the MotoII eventually changing to the next waypoint automatically.
I am not sure when that happened but it worked.
For voice infos Beeline asks for a monthly subscription which I don't need. The MotoII beeps and a led lights up shortly before the next turn.
It also records time, speed, distance and shows you speed limits by changing the color of the speed limit symbol when you go over it.
For me the main advantage is that I don't have to put my phone around my cockpit using a bulky holding device.

Can you live without it? Yes, definitely. Is it somehow nice: yep.

So took the wife out on the ST and had a couple of squirms so decided to "retyre" the rear, get it, retire the tyre :joy:

    20240811_172217.jpg

It still had a good depth of tread in the middle, (I hate motorways just boring) but the corner lean areas were done.

    And here's the replacement

Anyone want the old one let me know, they're welcome to it, no punctures or repairs?

This is the end. Had my final ride out as old age has finally caught up with me (soon be 75). No specific health problems other than joint and muscle pain but now can't do long ride outs anymore so decided to call it a day. So my Speed Triple 1050 RS will be up for sale soon after it's last clean and polish. End of an era. 20240517_154445.jpg

That’s sad but if you know it’s the right time I suppose what else can you do. IMHO if you don’t need the money I’d keep the bike till next year and see if you in the same frame of mind. if you are it’ll likely be easier to sell at the start of the season and if not at least you wont be kicking yourself.

PS - the bike looks cracking

That's a serious bit of machinery - no temptation to try something smaller or a bit less performance orientated? That's what took me to a 500cc adventure style bike (so comfortable) and now a Speed 400.... I'm 71 and counting!

@TRIPLE X I’m sure your decision has not been an easy one. I’m 71 now and do find it more challenging to complete long rides, so I can empathise with you when it comes to muscle and joint pain.
I hope I can get a few more years riding in before I hang up my gloves and boots.

I wish you good luck for the future when the bike goes, as I’m sure like me when my time comes you will miss your bike and the riding it allows.

Cheers. You are unlikely to encounter a more minty example if I say so myself o_O

Cheers. I will sell it if anyone is interested but in no rush. Even contemplated keeping it to be buried with but not possible as I'm being cremated (when the time comes). Don't mind keeping it in the garage to admire for a bit longer.

Cheers Wessa. A very difficult decision to make. I was hoping to still be riding into my 80's but it's not to be.

I think we all aspire to that. I do hope that I can but fear that my time to stop will come before I get there. Only time will tell. Anyway good luck for the future mate.
