Weather has been wet meaning low turnout for our scheduled rides. I booked in a full day ride and got a great response.
The morning was scattered showers, :poop:and some of the crew had wet jeans to start, which dried quickly once we got away.:sun:
We headed off up highway16, and could see rain clouds all around, but we’re lucky enough to stay dry

After a short leg stretch and natter amongst the group, we headed up the east coast. Due to the main highway being closed for repairs after damage from major storms, thr usually quiet route was full of traffic :poop:
Still a beautiful ride with coastal scenery

We met up with the Northland chapter at the Tavern and although it was busy due to school holidays, the meals were worth the wait. Weather stayed nice while we were there
Some of the west Auckland crew took the alternate route after riding together to the closed highway

Although the rain started again on our ride home, it was only light showers. It was still busy with traffic, so we took a different route back and thus made for a good and uneventful leg home :cool:

a good 260mile/420km day with the Brynderwyn pass closed on SH1 adding an hour each way.
I have added a stock image of the Auckland skyline to give relevance to the TRMCC Auckland Chapter card

Cheers @Markus, we have a great group who share the motorcycle bond and love of riding. Most like beer too:eek: which helps :p
