Just thought I'd post a pic of my NC29 with it's new blue pillion seat. I got the idea from Hondas RC30 and NC30, with their coloured seats. I bought a scabby seat off ebay and it took a while to find vinyl with a good colour match. A seat upholsterer in Hyde did the job.
And I'm sure you know that the NC29 was sometimes called the Baby Blade. It was produced through most of the 90's, starting in 1990 with the 'L' model. There were 7 colour schemes. Mine is painted in the Type 5 scheme, although it's actually a 1990 bike (34 years old!) and originally was in Type 1 colours. I had it resprayed after discovering it had already been repainted, but in the wrong shade of red and with dodgy decals. I thought I may as well go for my favourite colours but I kept the wheels white (Type 5 has black wheels). I've also fitted the drilled heel guards from a 954 FireBlade. There's a refurbed shock from a CBR600 in there, which is why you can see the remote adjuster above the end can hanger, the NC29 didn't have that. If you look at the swing arm you can see why it's referred to as the 'Gull Arm'. The last scheme, Type 7, actually came with 'FireBlade' on the tail sections. A shame they didn't go for the holes in the headlight section and lower fairing, like the original FireBlade.
Always wished I was shorter (and older) in my early 20's so I could fit on these mini works of art. Beauty mate.
