My aluminum intake covers were showing some corrosion and I wanted to paint them flat black. Thought I'd try some leftover gold paint to match the pinstripes first but I'm not sure it's a good look.

With a gold pinstripe, I have added some matching detailing so like it. I’d be temped to pick another couple of items to make it blend :p

I'm with @Dartplayer, Tom. I like the gold but with a few additional things painted the same color to create some cohesiveness. Wouldn't need to be much, though. Just "touches" here and there. Your bike's looking good!

I have had this one in the shop this winter. Been off the road for a while now. It needs a new starter motor. 2000 Legend 2-21-2022.jpg Legend Air Box.jpg I have also converted the headlight to LED and added the fog light. Lately I modified the airbox a bit. Hope to put it back together soon. ...J.D.

I stripped out the rear hub on my Speed Triple, cleaned and lube'd it all up. Even cleaned and lube'd the chain as well. Just waiting on my fitting kit for my quick shifter to turn up.

Not a big fan of the exhaust - I prefer the symmetry of twin silencers, personally - but the level of work and detail in that machine is absolutely lovely. The 'ghosted' "RS" symbol in the tank paint is stunning.

    Lovely.

Replaced the front brake pads on my Tiger 900 GT PRO, while the originals still had 2mm of material left it was making me nervous.
    Intalled EBC sinthered pads, and
the braking is SO MUCH BETTER!!
    I couldn't be happier.
Today ride was with a lot more confidence, trail braking into the curves worked really well.
    EBC part # fa447hh
    100% recommended

Agreed - I don't get all the "low slung low boys". The twin exhausts, for me, make the look of both the speed and street triple.

    It's a beautiful bike
I found some GM paint called Gold Mist that should match the anodized aluminum bits on the engine cases. I like the look of drilled aluminum and painting those pieces black kinda hides the holes. I'm glad it doesn't have the fake carburetors like the Thruxton.

Good move, at 2mm you lose a lot of the insulating affect from the thin friction material, the brakes will still stop you perfectly well, but more heat is transferred into the metal backplate and through to the pistons and can lead to brake fade due to the fluid boiling.
