Is that on the assumption that Jez is the culprit? I'm not aware it was him and I wouldn't want to point the finger based on circumstantial evidence from the forum. Like you say, he isn't here to speak for himself.

 

I believe he did try to speak through a third party but the post was removed maybe it should have stayed then we would know I assume the threats were in a pm as I haven't seen anything which would suspend the forum

 

I’m not suggesting it was Jez that had made the threat, just what Rob had said in the banner that he posted.

Quite simple really, if you can’t play by the rules then you end up being told to play elsewhere.

 

Pleased the forum is back on, was boring last night, I nearly went down to the railway viaduct to toss myself off.

There seems to have been a lot of tidying up whilst the forum was down. And not just specific posts.

The smell of disinfectant on opening the door this morning was palpable.

I wasted some bloody good jokes in the 'cleanup', i'm gutted. This shit doesn't write itself.

 

Whole threads seem to have disappeared...

 

I've no information to the contrary but I would be genuinely surprised if Jez excercised threatening behaviour to Rob.

 

And as I'm not fourteen and on tiktok excuse my lack of annotating posts above with 'likes'.
However, I've agreed strongly with @Callumity , @Octoberon and @Privateer throughout this thread. There is very little that divides anybody here.
I am uneasy about the way Jez appears to have been treated (I'm the first to call him a prick here).
I hope there is a door open for him to return if he wishes.

It's interesting you say that. All three of us have definitely disagreed on various points but I guess overall we're covering the debate. Maybe we are adults after all.

 

Well unless and until Rob chooses to enlighten us we’re all in the dark. I just wonder if Jez was the original irritant and the subsequent outbreak of democracy was perceived - wrongly - as defiance or a threat. 95% of us had no problems policing DD. My take? Mutual misapprehension and miscalculation. It’s how wars start!!*
