I even didn't knew a bike should be cleaned in another way than riding in the rain :grinning:

Quick rummage around and found this :)
Got some two core wire somewhere that’ll be ideal for moving the main fuse into a more accessible place :p 9B8DD5F1-58FF-4D53-82D3-98FF6032D362.jpeg

Good idea Dilli, coz when it blows (or another forum member removes it at a GMU for arguments sake! :joy:) you can guarantee it's dark, and raining!

All very boring today. As it’s so dark now I decided I want to be more visible to other road users. So, I’ve applied some blue and yellow reflective stickers to the bike.
if people think I’m the police, and get out of my way, that’s another benefit!

Found a spare post that the fuse holder fits on perfectly  49330A2B-1161-42A0-BC2E-8B736671BC1F.jpeg

On the sprint ST 1050 the fuse place is OK, but to remove the battery, you need to lift the fuel tank.. An overall good bike can have some spot of non sense.

Plenty of these things owe more to ease/sequence of manufacture than ease of maintenance.

    All done :)
Started my compressor and blew all the cobwebs leaves and debris out
Blew through the drain hole :)
Then sprayed ACF50 all over the place :)
Used the airline again to get rid of the excess and put everything back together :)
Pencil showing the new fuse position
Would’ve feckin hated to do this out on the road somewhere  A29CB0C4-EC98-40C0-B1A5-2A9E9BE37CFB.jpeg

Nice neat job mate, it'll ensure that fuse never blows ;)

If you hadn't have moved it surely it would have gone the next dark and wet trip.

    That’s what worried me
I came across a YouTube video where the main fuse had blown :(
I thought that’s not happening to me :p

On the later models the main fuse was repositioned and is now easily accessible :)

It should never had been positioned there on the generation1 models in the first place.
