So the story is. Today i sat and did both my Bonnies with back to black polish thinking it would make them shine clean. Did it hell I have spent all day till about 30 minutes ago trying to get the rubbish off. Three washes with the pressure washes, spirit wipe and wash just got them presentable again. Now all you smarty pants i know have found a way to clean them up and i beg of you to enlighten me. As i don't ever want to do this again. I used to use turtle wax gel which i just can't find any more. So at a loss as how to clean them quicker.
    Regards
    Joe.

I just wash and dry mine then spray with GT85, let it dry for 10 mins then wipe the runs with a cloth, it leaves it shiny and protected.

Yes similar to wd40 but I think GT85 is better for putting a nice finish on bikes than wd40 but I think wd40 is better at removing tar from your bike and freeing things like ignition coils that are stuck on plugs.

I use GT85 myself and have done for years, it's good stuff and keeps all parts of a bike looking good

WD40 is a good at degreasing so if you spray it into locks or switch make sure you lube they afterward.

Any small amount of lube in them will most probably be removed after spraying with wd40.

GT85 is great stuff, cleans & protects, I use it on the engine, chrome, I also spray it on a cloth and use it to clean my wheels. As has been said already, it can be used on most things, but for plastic (matt) and rubber (hoses etc) I think Autoglym vinyl and rubber care is better.

I use muck off bike protector, spray on and a wipe over with a bit of blue roll to remove any excess after a normal wash. Keeps the engine looking good an it smells nice...

AC90 is another similar product. I use it in preference to WD40.

wd-40 is fine but I find it matts after a short time. ACF-50 is better in my opinion.

I agree, I use acf50 on my tigers black bits.. A good wash down and then spray on the acf50, the black comes up a treat and once it is dry a rub with a clean cloth does the trick.

I use at the moment CRC 5.56 which is like WD40 but it's also a lubricant. This is only because I can't get the GT85 down these parts.

However I bought some WD40 branded PTFE spray because the GT85 has that in it and I was wondering if it's OK to spray that all over the bike after the CRC 5.56?

I'm not sure why you would want to spray CRC 5.56 first and then spray WD40 PTFE? Wouldn't just spraying with WD40 PTFE be sufficient?

I think WD40 PTFE spray serves the same purpose as GT85, as do; Muc Off Bike (and/or Motorcycle) Protect Spray, and 3-IN-ONE Bike Maintenance Spray (not sure how available they are down under?)

Yeah well that's what I'm not sure of, I'm happy to get some better advice. I use the CRC at the moment to stop any rusting. But as I don't ride in the rain but I do live in an area not too far from the ocean I'm not sure how ptfe would perform, maybe ptfe, would be better? It's only because I read that the GT85 contains both a WD40 type penetrating oil as well as ptfe.
