Can talk about this one : 125mph, recorded by Her Majesty's own traffic chappies - cost me a thousand quid

And I got to ride a winter with 10 points as well!

I saw 170 - 175 on a Blackbird I borrowed for a fortnight across the sea. Too easy to go too fast! That's why I stick to unfaired bikes

162mph BMW S1000rr .. Autobahn also, on my way up to the Assen Moto GP year before last …. the old brain didn't compute at those speeds , had to throttle off. .. got to the digs and suddenly remembered the rear tyre had a plug in it :confounded:

Sounds about right for a Busa if conditions are right.
Speedos are very unreliable once speeds are in the 100+ area and can read anywhere up to @20-30mph high at 150+.
I had a GSXR1000 that would indicate 186mph at anything from @160 onwards up to 194.8 genuine MPH.

    I still have my k7 1000
Gets to speed limiter stupid fast
Speedo is all over the place
I haven’t rode it for two years
5000 miles brought new by me
Don’t know how I survived them 5000 miles
    Behind me now
Being a artic assessor my licence is paramount
And I’m too old to bounce down the road
Ride safe seen too much tragedy over the years

Road bike - 140ish mph front straight blackhawk farms race track, 1987 600 cc Honda Hurricane
Dirt bike - 110ish Honda - Al Baker XR630 (buddies bike) Unless terminal velocity of a human body falling 25' is faster.
Road bicycle - Trek Madone 5.5 54.7mph Marquette Mountain, Marquette, MI - by far the scariest fast I have ever gone. going down is almost a continuous right hand turn.

    Hey,
Laverda.. yeah.. Mine was a 1985 version. Last year in USA. Serial number 000006. The speedo stubbornly would not go above 85 MPH. Might have been due to the little peg that stopped the indicator and lack of numbers beyond... Funny the tacho didn't have that trouble. Fast enough to scare. Worried about the Pirelli Phantoms and top speed. Sold it in 1995, to finance Porsche racing. Boy, that was like standing in a cold shower tearing up $50 bills. Only will go fast on the track now. Too much uncertainty on the street.
