After a very wet and dirty ride for the last 20 miles to the GMU bunkhouse on Thursday, I clean and polished the speedmaster today. She is looking like a new pin, now tucked up in the garage......

I rode up from Hawes this morning. I left at 0600 and got home at 1400, stopped a couple of times for coffee and a couple for petrol. I was supposed to spend the night in Perth tonight, thing is I wanted home, cos Id had my fun. They seemed not to mind to much when I canceled, theyll probably charge me for it, o well never mind the heart wants and all that. And I am shagged out, I had a great time and covered 1186 miles since last Tuesday.

NUDGER went in for his 500mile service today showing a little over 700miles
Went to pick him up after work and Newcastle Triumph had him looking showroom condition again :grinning:
Wasn’t expecting that and all in all a very pleasant experience :)
Told Paul the service manager that I was very grateful as I was expecting a busy cleaning night in the garage one day this week :)
Also told him that every time NUDGER is dirty I’ll find a fault and bring it to them :p

Been in the garage with NUDGER trying to work out how to fit a tow bar on his arse end
Gonna take some quite major surgery to get the tow bar I made previously to fit
But I’ve got two weeks to get ready for the Yorkshire pudding rally  hope I can get sorted :)
But if not I’ll refit the top box rack that I made for him and affix a wooden rack on top and just take the bear essentials strapped down :p

Fitted a Dart Manta flyscreen to the triple. Its a bit bigger than the OEM. I understand the aesthetics are not to everyone's taste and tbh I'm not sure I like it. The screen unattaches easily enough but leaves a bracket, 100 motorway miles testing tomorrow paid for by work :) should decide if it a) stays and hope the looks grow on me, b) goes, c) put on when required leaving the bracket, d) modify the bracket so nothing obtrusive left when off but easy to put back on.
