Looking forward to seeing proof in pictures - it's taken them 13 months since they said they were on the case. When I ordered them last year, the part numbers were BRC550 for the Brembo/R brake lever and CRC541 for the clutch, so that's not changed - but hopefully the addition of the letter 'I' will make all the difference.
Can't go wrong with evotech kit,levers are quality as are all the stuff I've previously used,putting levers on this weekend
Which brake lever did you order Mick? ASV told me BRC550 (as per the application chart on their website)..but sniffing around on Sportsbikeshop, there's a Brembo specific BRC560
I've was told by ASV and Performance Parts Limited that I required the BRC550 for the latest Speed. I'll guess I'll find out tomorrow, but if I get any hassle with them I'll return them for the Evotech's as they get decent reviews! Mick
Update..... The brake and clutch levers both went on today without too many problems. The instructions were next to useless and didn't refer to Triumph in any way though. All the additional bit's and bobs are designed for European bikes though such as Ducati, KTM etc etc... Use those parts and it all works fine. The quality of the ASV levers are fantastic and feel much better than the stock parts whilst riding. Here's a couple of pics....
They look amazing Mick So the kill switch tab is present on the clutch lever and the action is slick and smooth? Any chance of a picture from underneath showing the tab (it would very helpful)? Are they short or regular length - it's hard to tell from the photos? Questions...questions...
The tab has to be screwed into position but I'm guessing on your older version you only had one option of where to put it? This version has several locations for you to attach the kill switch tab so fits as it should. Works perfectly and is very smooth to operate. Feels much nicer than the OEM parts did. They feel slicker when operated if that makes sense?!?! I'm away from the bike now, but I'll certainly add some pics from underneath next time she's out mate. Oh, and these are standard length levers mate. Was considering the shorter ones but now having used these, I'm glad I didn't. Mick
Thanks for the extra detail Mick. The version I bought had just one position for the tab, which wasn't compatible. It was also tight and 'gritty' even when fitted without tightening the pivot bolt. Sounds like they've sorted everything - and they do look really nice My son has ASVs on his Daytona and likes the micro adjustments you get with the dials, rather than 6 positions with the Evotech type. Glad you've finally got them fitted.
I'm pleased with them mate but in reality, they're not worth double that of the Evotechs. I'm sure they feel pretty much the same really but the micro adjustment wheel is pretty cool
2016R Triumph levers part# A9620027 DO NOT FIT!.. The dealership Mec installed them but the brake light push rod was missing and not aligned to stock, so I was not able to complete installation.. refund granted. exactly which OBERON part # for the long airo style or standard will work on the '16R LEV-B010-2- LEV-C160-2- In RED lever with GOLD switch Anyone had those installed .. thanks
Since my post #7 earlier in this thread, I ordered LEV-B010-2 and LEV-C160-2 from Oberon after talking to them directly on the phone and also following up with detailed photographs of the kill switch tab on the clutch lever - to be double sure! They confirmed compatibility with the 2016 R, so I bought them. When they arrived, there was no tab - I called and was met with complete apathy and disinterest...so I sent them back and was refunded. This was back in April and they may have updated them since then. I thought I'd go and have a rant at Motorcycle Live in a couple of weeks time (if they are there again). In the meantime, eBay levers are still going strong and have caused no trouble whatsoever...and were £120 cheaper.
Are the levers short or long and are if they are long are they shorter than the original ones. Hope that makes sense. Thanks
There's a bit of a delay since I posted this info Bomber - so are you asking whether the eBay levers in the photo are short or long? I bought long ones which I reckon are slightly shorter than the original triumph levers. I don't have either the levers or the bike any more, so can't check I'm afraid. I do recall seeing short ones and thinking they looked too short for my liking.
