As mentioned in a previous post, the Trophy is just not for my riding style or habits and as much as I'd like to keep it for motorway blasts and long distance, the common sense (read: SWMBO) says to part with it. After the friendly welcome and advice it seems the decent thing to do is to offer up for sale here in case anyones after one, so... Triumph Trophy T309 900cc, 1998 (R reg) . 5 former keepers. £1100 ono New MOT last week, no advisories. (after it failed for a binding brake - Piston bunged up with crap, cleaned and passed) Excellent tyres (Continental Road Attack), chain, sprockets etc, new battery, and just had all fluids and oil changed. Motor is lovely and smooth with a nice slick gear change (dare I say it, nicer than my Honda!) DataTagged and registered and transferable for £15.50p. 22000 miles on bike but has had a replacement 8000 mile engine about 2000 miles ago, so engine on 10k. 1 key fits all locks (including cubby holes, panniers and pannier mounts) except top box which has its own key. Bad points: This may make it sound like a dog but it's not, just trying to give as honest opinion as I can, for those that may travel to see it. Has a black front wheel and a grey rear. Engine paint flaking in places most noticeable on the clutch cover? (right side as you sit on it). It is very clean and shiny and people always compliment how nice the bike looks but there are LOTS of little scratches all over and one or two not so little. A few rusty nuts and bolts, and one or two small trim bits missing (like screw covers on the fairing) One lug on the (inner) fairing has broken, (under one of the screw covers), but it doesn't move or rattle. Full panniers and top box, but top box has had a minor crack repair inside on the base and the cover is also marked. There are also some wall scrapes on the panniers, but nothing that would stop a galloping horse. Mirrors scratched. F.R. indicator has been broken off and is glued on. One of the silencers is also (wall) scratched. Neutral indicator switch/ lamp sometimes does not work when engine is hot. Although that may be sorted now. Carbs may need a clean to sort out previously mentioned stalling under hard braking, but if you ride normally and sensibly there is no problem. I think thats everything Did I mention there are scratches
