Triumph Thunderbird T6 1956

    Hi guys, I have aquired a Triumph Thunderbird T6 1956 not so long ago. I am trying to start it up at the moment and there seem to be no spark. I was told the bike was running not so long ago and fuel looks fresh. The battery is flat, but as I understand the battery for the lights. As I understand my bike does not have a magneto? How does it work then? I checked for spark all the way down to the points and no spark. If you have any links that can be useful that would be great!

    You have a distributor, battery is needed.

    dead battery=no spark

    old corroded points=no spark

    probably should bring it to a professional

    A 56 should have magneto, its the part on the back of the engine with the points. If the bike has been standing for a long time and there is no spark of any kind its probably the magneto has become weak.
