Yesterday pm I filled up my two month old Bonneville (650 miles in total) at our local garage, by the time I got home the dealership was closed.
The bike had hardly been used last month so the petrol cap had not been off.
What I found was disturbing to say the least, when I took the petrol cap off.
Contacted my dealer Bridge Motorcycles Exeter about the problem this morning, they asked for some photos which I sent (as below). So within the hour a replacement tank had been ordered.
The after sales service guy, Cameron, is absolutely brilliant. Credit where credit is due.

@RBinDevon Yes pretty good service. Hopefully it will be better than the original. Hopefully its not coming from Taiwan like the problem i had with my rad as it will probably take for ever for you.

I reckon it will be better than your rad problem as my bike was already booked in for Nov 13th for the fly screen to be fitted (should have been on the bike for Sept 1).
The tank changeover was added to the 13th. So I reckon they know that the tank is in stock at headquarters. (I hope )

That sort of service from main dealers seems pretty rare nowadays, so well done to you and Bridge Motorcycles.

Oh yes, all done including fitting the screen, which should have been fitted Sept 1, but mothership out of stock then.

First trip with the heated gloves and I also dug out my Keis waste coat, when I went to Exeter to get the bike sorted. 2C on the way back but I was toasty warm - toes cool though.
The other plus point was that the new tank didn’t have those horrible labels on it. I was surprised how much better it looks with them off.

I must post a picture now that the bike is complete ( fog lights, camera system & intercom/telephone control buttons).

Just off to the dentist, my good lady has an emergency appointment.

Glad to hear that it's sorted! There are so many horror stories of poor after care and support about.

Just back from a trip, quick rinse + Scott oil 365, some photos.
Replacement tank fitted about a week ago. No sticky labels
Screen on. (Mothership out of stock when the bike was picked up 1/09/25).
Fog lights on the engine bars. The switch is at the base of LHS mirror stalk
Video dash cam on. Just see the front camera at 7 o’clock next to the head light,

Just got to fit the chain oiler (arriving sometime this week) then it will be finished.
