Had a Tiger Explorer 1200 for several years. It came with an aftermarket Scorpion exhaust, and she sounded ah-mazing.

My new to me Tiger 800 is a much better size fit for me, and overall I love her, but I'm not loving the tweeting sound she makes. Looking at getting an aftermarket Scorpion for the 800. Just wondering if anyone here has done that, and if they liked the affect it had on the sound. Will she have a nice growl like my 1200 did, or will it not be as throaty because of the 800 vs 1200 engines? TIA

Have a look on YouTube there’s always lots of bikes with different exhausts on there :)

I've got an Arrow can on mine. Growls nicely with the baffle out. Could be my imagination but I'd swear she spins up quicker too.

I hated the sound with the original exhaust fitted. A sort of whiney, whistley sewing machine sound.

Good luck with whichever replacement you choose.

    Welcome in btw. :)

Hi,Iv'e had 4 800 tigers with a different can on each,Arrow,Leo vinci, fuel and a Scorpion, the scorpion was the best sounding one with a nice deep burble BUT all of them are nowhere as nice as they should be you would have to decat it for that and i don't think it will be as nice as a 1200,but i would go with the scorpion,iv'e got one on my current bike.

Thanks ya'll. Definitely leaning Scorpion, since I've had and liked it on my previous bike. Just wanted to see what the experience was with the 800. Was not expecting the 800 to be so "Tweety" after the nice sound my 1200 had!
